Awards

Vicarage Court care home has been honoured by the following awards. It recognises the strength of our team and our dedication to providing innovative and high quality care.

In 2023, we have been selected by the National Science Museum London to have our visiting booth in their future exhibition on Life during COVID. This is for future generations to learn about what happened during this time. We built our visiting booth at the beginning of COVID. It had 2.3 million views on facebook and received widespread coverage by BBC, Channel 4 and print press. It allowed our families to have visiting throughout covid.

In 2021, we were awarded the Healthwatch “Putting People First Award”. Despite our home being one of the largest in Wakefield, we did not loose any residents to Covid. We built a very strong team who worked tirelessly during that period. Many staff at Vicarage Court won further individual awards for their dedicated care.

In 2019, we won at the British Care Awards and previous to that Vicarage Court was award “Employer of the Year” in Wakefield.
